Outbuildings and other installations have been developed to keep the overall "footprint" as small as possible. Two 5000 gallon
water storage tanks reside immediately behind the 96 square foot
Pumphouse. The Pumphouse
not only houses the pumps necessary to pump and pressurize water and to
operate the fire sprinklers but it also houses a water softener and
water purification system. There is also plenty of shelving for
storage of outdoor and garden equipment and supplies.
A Woodshed is on the side of the Studio/Workshop Building
that faces the house. Its location and sliding doors allow easy
access from the house to the firewood and any equipment or tools stored
within.
Over the bridge (and through the woods) are 33 solar panels. Although ground-mountedtheyareout of sightof the house. In the past five years, they have provided an average of 10.780 kwh per year.
