Morning Exploring &

Isla Danzante

We will begin our day today in the vicinity of Isla Carmen and Isla Danzante in the Gulf of California, which is also known as the Sea of Cortez. The deep waters of this area are very productive and we invite you to join us on deck as you wake up this morning, to search for wildlife. Just after breakfast this morning, we’ll conduct our mandatory safety drills, so stay tuned for the Captain’s announcements over the P.A. system. After the safety drill, we’ll talk briefly about our Zodiac and snorkeling operations, distributing masks, fins, snorkels and wetsuits afterward.

For the afternoon, we plan to anchor at Honeymoon Cove, on Isla Danzante. This lovely bay features a secluded sandy beach, with contrasting Sonoran desert terrain as a backdrop. We will take opportunities to hike, snorkel and kayak in the protection of this, the first of many stops in beautiful Baja California.
