Black Rhinoceros in the Ngorongoro Crater

Black rhinoceros, although few in number worldwide, are still heavily poached for their horn which some cultures consider precious. Rhino horn isn't true horn but rather densely packed hair. The rhinos in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area are closely guarded by the park rangers and much photographed by the tourists.
